They all return to Idyllshire to prepare and learn from command that they have found evidence in Guildivain's lab, and no record of the healer Faldrinet, confirming his false identity. And Loifa breaks down in tears, begging the two to help him. The Warrior consoles him, saying he still has more life to live. He reveals his past with Guildivain, and the suffering he caused, only for him to break down and says he would be rather dead than live suffering. Lalah asks what happened, and Loifa yells that it was Guildivain who was still out there because of her actions. After waking, Loifa demands to know where his compatriots are, before being told they are not present. after some reflection, she tells the adventurer to heal him. Lalah has some doubts about saving him, as he killed her mother for the sage equipment, but also not knowing what they seek. Lolah and the Warrior find an unconscious Loifa, and the deceased merchant. Loifa, Ancel, and Mahaud attempt to find Faldrinet at the meeting spot of his merchant, Ancel and Mahaud protected Loifa from a direct magic attack, but it still knocked Loifa unconcious, while Faldrinet kidnapped the other two. They teleport away and the apothecary reveals that they were her adopted children with Mahaud sick from aetherspurn, an incurable illness where the body doesn't retrieve aether from food, and Mahaud who was attacked by a beast and was to be bedridden forever. Loifa states how naive they are before preparing to leave, the apothecary tells them to wait, realizing that the two with the enhancement Mahaud and Ancel, are her children that she hasn't seen in years. She states that living beings have a limit of corporeal aether, and that forcibly fortifying it causes complications, and that a rogue healer used this on countless people and that rumors of this happening were denounced by the Forum. įollowing the defeat of the Antling, they notice that the fugitive's condition hasn't changed, and Lalah worries about their symptoms, noting that it's from the enhancement, knowing of the forbidden procedure and the harm it causes. Faldrinet lures the Antling away and Lalah stays behind to handle the current situation while the adventurer assists Faldrinet. Loifa enlarges an Antling, as it approaches to attack Fladrinet, he provokes Ancel, causing Loifa's compatriots to lose control and fall to the ground. Faldrinet states how he fights against the fate of unfortunate souls dying without reason and fights against it. Loifa states that they are just fools believing whatever they're told, and he asks Faldrinet about the weight of his sins. Loifa states how he regrets sparing the adventurers life and Lalah questions why they would do such things against good natured souls. The trio track down Faldrinet in Central Thanalan, where he is attempting to purchase muscmaloi from a certain apothecary, before they can do any harm to him, the Warrior once again steps in. They do battle with them but are defeated in combat, before he is questioned, Ancel teleports away taking Loife and Mahaud with him. Loifa and his comrades venture into Saint Mocianne's Arboretum in order to find the muscmaloi plant, until they are confronted by Lalah Jinjahl and the Warrior. Loifa is confronted by Lalah and the Warrior of Light in the Arboretum. After they realize there are too many prying eyes, he tells them to not get in their way again, and teleport away. Before his compatriot Mahaud could land a direct hit on him, the Warrior of Light runs in front of the man and is almost hit by the spell but is protected with Haima by Loifa. Loifa is seen in Idyllshire where he is accosting an Elezen man in the northern part of town, he casts a dosis spell at him, but it is dodged.
